NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED
REVENUE BONDS TO BE ISSUED BY
THE ATHENS HOUSING AUTHORITY

Notice is hereby given that on the 8th day of September, 2022, at 9:00 a.m., in the offices of the Athens Housing Authority located at 300 S. Rocksprings St., Athens, Georgia 30606, a Public Hearing will be held concerning the proposed issuance of multifamily housing revenue bonds, in one or more series (the “Bonds”) by the Athens Housing Authority (the “Authority”) in the aggregate principal amount of not to exceed $24,500,000 (the “Bonds”) for the purpose of assisting BH Athens, LP an Indiana limited partnership  (hereinafter referred to as the “Borrower”), with the acquisition, construction and equipping of an approximately 192-unit multifamily housing project, consisting of one, two, and three bedroom apartments, located on an approximately 14.20-acres site near 1045 Hull Road, Athens, Georgia where Southwell Road intersects Hull Road in Athens-Clarke County, Georgia (collectively, the “Project”).  The hearing will be held before J. Richard Parker, II, designated hearing officer, and may be continued or adjourned.

The Bonds, when and if issued, will be the limited obligation of the Authority and will not constitute a general obligation of the State of Georgia, Athens-Clarke County, Georgia, or the Authority, nor shall the Bonds be payable in any manner by taxation, but are payable solely from the payments made by or on behalf of the Borrower, which are pledged to the payment of the Bonds pursuant to an agreement between the Authority and the Borrower.  The issuance of Bonds is in furtherance of the public purpose of the Authority.  NO PERFORMANCE AUDIT OR PERFORMANCE REVIEW SHALL BE CONDUCTED WITH RESPECT TO THE BONDS.

Further information regarding the proposed Bonds and the proposed facility financed are of public record in the office of the Athens Housing Authority at 300 S. Rocksprings St., Athens, Georgia 30606.

Any resident of Athens-Clarke County having views on the proposed issuance of the Bonds or the nature or location of the proposed project may be heard at such public hearing.
