Maintenance Assistant  

The Athens Housing Authority is accepting applications for a full-time Maintenance Assistant.  Position primarily performs varied duties in unit preparation for re-rental and ongoing physical care of property and apartments.  Duties include painting, mechanical assistance, custodial and grounds care.  Experience preferred. Uniforms provided. Successful candidate must be skilled in use of all equipment used in apartment cleaning; possess painting skills of journeyman level; hold a valid Georgia Driver’s license; must pass background checks, physical and drug screening and be bondable and insurable by the Authority’s insurance carrier.  Beginning wage is $13.89/hr.  Full benefit package offered.  Application packets may be obtained in person from the Authority Reception Desk, 300 S. Assistant Property Manager

The Athens Housing Authority is accepting resumes for a full-time position of Assistant Property Manager.   The position provides administrative support and assists the Property Manager in processing and enforcing all rules and regulations regarding tenant selection and continued occupancy eligibility.  Duties include, but are not limited to leasing, housekeeping and physical inspections, processing work order requests, conducting interim and annual re-certifications, move/outs and evictions. Working knowledge of HUD regulations and policies regarding subsidized housing as they pertain to eligibility, admissions, recertification, and evictions essential.  Applicant must have the ability to understand, interpret, and implement policies, regulations and procedures; work within reporting deadlines; have the ability to input computer data with a high degree of accuracy and exhibit excellent customer service skills.  Finally, successful candidate must pass a health and drug-screen.  Beginning Salary Range: $38,607 +   Dependent upon Experience.  Excellent retirement and other fringe benefit package.  Mail Resumes to –Director of Operations, Athens Housing Authority, 300 S.
